Friday Leftovers

12Aug11

FREE music every Friday!

1. Old 97’s frontman Rhett Miller shared some songs and the story behind writing them during the days surrounding 9/11. The story is cool to read, and the songs are available to download for FREE at this link.

2. Muse is one of today’s greatest on-stage rock performers, and their recorded stuff is just as good. Check out this remix of ‘Knights of Cydonia’, a dramatic/theatrical track that gets a bassy makeover that you can download for FREE from ThisSongIsSick.

3. Young rapper Hoodie Allen is back with another mixtape called Leap Year. Pretty good stuff, especially the first track which samples Fitz & the Tantrums. Download it for FREE at this link to TheSmokingSection.

I think I may have posted this video before, but I don’t give a shit. Look for rap legend 50 Tyson to show off his slick moves, including him reaching for his hat brim at 2:08……
